Happy Independence Day!

"When I woke up after my wrongdoings,
I was half buried,
when I tried to save myself,
I never believed I could
 touch the sky...so high!"

Yesterday, I was discussing India and politics with a friend of mine. He is elder to me and does not belong to our generation(21 years-the fanatic young). We had a nice discussion about all points including Anna Hazare's stand for Lokepal(Some can read it Jokepal :))

When we were enervated and our minds were looking for some more points(as it happens in almost all the discussions), I popped up with an absurd thought and asked him, "Shall we go to Delhi?" He looked at me with his eyes looking straight in mine and I could notice that his gaze was razor sharp, "What for?" I looked away and said with a smile on my face, "To join Anna Hazare!"

After that point, our discussion ran into some other arena. He started generation-difference talks and we ended up on a conclusion from his side,"Look, we have our families to feed, other duties to be done. You go to a college and I work. Besides, you are young and free. So, these absurd thoughts visit you! And you talk about joining the movement. Politics is dirty game boy, discussion is good but stay away!"

I could not present my thought as I thought to feed him with my conclusion after some time. But after he left, I pondered over his final words and my mind put forth some challenging questions like: Should we be so selfish to live or lives carefree? Joining a movement or campaign against injustice is being careless towards your duties? The generation gap and the fanatic young behavior is what we lack or is it what we should shed down? Is it bad to have these absurd thoughts visiting you, even at age of 60?

My mind settled to its own conclusion,"Whatever be his conclusion, I would do whatever I can, maybe we all should get over that 'responsibility-home-politics-fanatic' rhetoric and muster the courage to think young. I think this is what we lack(We all Indians lack!)

So, I have decided to be with Anna Hazare. I cannot stand to his side, but I will keep fast on 16th with him in this city. After-all city doesn't matter, what matters is being united and strong!

If anyone is willing to join me then, do comment and contact me! We can do something to support the right and make our motherland feel the pride!

Jai hind Jai bharat!
